Dear Freshmen and High school studentsI offer you a challenge.
Are you good enough?
I am challenging you to succeed not only academically but also in sport.
If we look to some of the greatest Universities in the World, not only do they develop some of the greatest academics but also some of the greatest amateur sportsmen.
Being at the top of your game in both the classroom and the sporting arena is not easy.
It requires perfect time management and some sacrifices, but it is possible.
Having coached rowing at the University of London (England) and the University of Sydney (Australia), I have been fortunate enough to have coached some athletes that have been good enough to achieve world level performance in both and it has been a privilege to see them succeed.
Rowing is a sport that requires mental application, physical excellence, self discipline and, above all else, commitment to the success of the whole team and not just the individual.
Many people are unable to excel in more than one area.
So in closing I ask you again. Are you good enough?

英連邦ナショナルチームに参加し、その後オーストラリア選手権軽量級エイト（1986）とマローレガッタエリートクラスクオドルプル（1991）で優勝した。
コーチになってからはロンドン大学女子シニアコーチ、ウエストミンスタースクールボートハウスマネジャー、シドニーローイングクラブ ヘッドコーチ、ニューサウスウェールズスポーツ学院女子エリートコーチ、ＡＢＣローイング、シドニー大学新人シニアコーチ・新人女子 エリートヘッドコーチを務め、世界トップクラスのチームで指導していた。
